My name is Marta, an italian artist and illustrator, currently based in Milan. I have a background as a marine biologist and have grown up as a self-thought artist. I have a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in marine sciences.After my university years, I decided to take a year off and dedicate my time to make art and recharge from years of hard university commitment. A year later, I'm here as a full-time artist. The freelance life as an artist wasn't in my plan. I would have never expected to be able to live a dream life off of one of my passions. Maybe one day I will be able to unify my passion for art and my scientific degrees.Now I mainly work on book designs. I'm specialized in witchy, folklore and dark fantasy art (traditional & digital) with a touch of dark cottagecore/academia. A lot of my art is mainly inspired by my love for nature, fantasy and sci-fi. I'm currently working on different projects such as book internal designs, a videogame and personal projects.Besides drawing, I’m very passionate about scuba diving, biology and bunnies!
